A small charity in Worcestershire is making a big difference when it comes to equipping young people with lifesaving skills. Since launching in 2017, Heartstart Malvern has provided free CPR training to nearly 6,500 people, including hundreds of school children across the local area.

New research commissioned by Resuscitation Council UK has uncovered worrying gaps in CPR education in UK secondary schools - highlighting that thousands of students are missing out on the opportunity to learn this vital lifesaving skill.

We are now accepting new applications for institutions who wish to become Resuscitation Council UK (RCUK) accredited course centres.

With high levels of heart disease and poor general health in the community, access to CPR and defibrillation training is vital.
