Northern Counties East Football League (NCEL) has announced Resuscitation Council UK as their official charity partner, teaming up to spread a lifesaving message in communities across the North and East of England.

Tick_stroke Heartsafe Communities report launched today

Resuscitation Council UK, British Heart Foundation, Oliver Cookson Foundation and St John Ambulance have published the Heartsafe Communities report today.  

The Heartsafe Communities scheme was set up in May 2023 and the aim was to improve access to defibrillators and CPR training and ultimately save more lives from cardiac arrest.

Researchers at King's College London are looking to talk to a range of young people who were 11-18 years old when they tried to help someone having a cardiac arrest by pressing down on their chest or using a heart restarter machine (defibrillator).

Resuscitation Council UK has launched a landmark report - Every second counts: Tackling inequalities in resuscitation. The report warns that socio-economic deprivation, a person’s ethnicity, or cultural background, shouldn’t determine whether a person is more or less likely to survive a cardiac arrest.
