Role: Chair of England’s Resuscitation Forum 
Reports to: RCUK Executive Committee 
Contract Type: Voluntary role with a three-year term

This voluntary post is an opportunity for an enthusiastic Resuscitation Practitioner (RP) to lead the development and delivery of England’s Resuscitation Forum (ERF).

This opportunity is open to an experienced healthcare professional who identifies as currently working within an RP role.  

As the Chair of England’s forum, you will be responsible for: 

  • Strengthening communication between RCUK and England’s RPs.  
  • Working collaboratively with RCUK, RPs across England and the other three national resuscitation forums within the RCUK Resuscitation Practitioner Forum (RPF). 
  • Utilise your leadership, communication and influencing skills to network, build relationships and engage individual and collaborative groups of RPs in England to join and contribute to a supportive network.  
  • Appropriately represent the voice and views of England’s RPs at RCUK’s Resuscitation Practitioners Forum (RPF). 

Initially, you will be supported by the RCUK Clinical and Service Development Team and the Leadership Teams of the established national resuscitation forums in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales to assist in the development of England's forum. Once England’s forum is established, you will operate independently of RCUK. 

You would be expected to: 

  • deliver a minimum of two ERF meetings per year, ensuring full accessibility and inclusion for England’s RPs 
  • attend RCUK RPF meetings  
  • cascade information directly from RCUK to the ERF’s network of RPs 
  • act as a point of contact for RPs in England  
  • do a variable amount of work in your own time – this is dependent on time/work commitments.
