Former President, Professor Jonathan Wylie, gave evidence on Wednesday 9 October 2024. The module discusses the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on healthcare systems in the four nations of the UK.
Our membership includes specialist clinical and academic experts recognised as international leaders in resuscitation. Plus, wider specialist healthcare volunteers who provide training to over 150,000 members of the UK healthcare sector every year to an internationally recognised standard. We were pleased to represent them at the Inquiry, and to ensure we made clear their safety and wellbeing during an unprecedented time of challenge for the NHS, was consistently our main priority.
As the organisation responsible for issuing resuscitation practice guidelines and standards for the healthcare sector throughout the UK, we want to thank our clinical colleagues and members of our executive committee who were involved in the in the vital and detailed process of collating our evidence.
The transcript of our oral evidence can be found on the Inquiry website here: Impact of Covid-19 Pandemic on Healthcare Systems in the 4 Nations of the UK (Module 3) - Public Hearings - UK Covid-19 Inquiry (covid19.public-inquiry.uk)
