We are delighted to announce that our EPALS (European Paediatric Advanced Life Support) course has received endorsement from the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH).
EPALS is a leading advanced resuscitation course for healthcare professionals, which demonstrates early recognition and management of children in respiratory or circulatory failure, management of cardiorespiratory arrest and team leadership skills.
The EPALS course can be used to demonstrate mandatory life support skills required within the RCPCH curriculum, with key curriculum domains and capabilities covered within the manual and face-to-face course.
EPALS can also be used to meet continuous professional development requirements for all paediatric clinicians, who can claim 10 CPD points or 15 participatory hours.
Chair of the EPALS Course Subcommittee, Dr Sophie Skellett said:
“We’d like to thank RCPCH for their endorsement of the EPALS course. We are proud of our course content and the benefit it has for paediatric patients and families across the UK.
“RCUK courses are developed in collaboration with resuscitation experts and community members, and built around our NICE-accredited resuscitation Guidelines. We’re grateful to all involved in the research, development and delivery of EPALS courses.
“We’re particularly thankful to our incredible EPALS Instructors, who work hard to ensure advanced paediatric life support is taught to a high standard across the four nations.“
